Applies to: the Feeziq mobile app for iOS and Android (bundle ID com.chatrsimab.feeziq), the Feeziq Wear OS / watch companion, and the website at feeziq.com.
1. Who we are
Feeziq (“Feeziq”, “we”, “us”) is a health and fitness app operated by Farzad Chatrsimab, the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe we have mishandled your data, you may contact us first and, if unsatisfied, lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
2. The short version
- Feeziq requires an account. You cannot use the app anonymously.
- We collect the health and fitness information you enter — weight, workouts, meals, hydration, goals, body metrics — because that is the product. Under EU/UK law this is special-category health data, and we process it only with your explicit consent, which you give when you create an account and can withdraw at any time.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your health data with advertisers.
- Parts of your profile are public to other Feeziq users by design: username, display name, photo, biography, sports, XP, streaks, achievements and leaderboard standing.
- AI features send your input (a meal photo, a text description, your fitness profile) to Google’s Vertex AI. Google processes it as our service provider and, under our Google Cloud terms, does not use it to train its models.
- Free accounts see Google AdMob ads. Ad SDKs collect device and advertising identifiers. They do not receive your health data.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time at feeziq.com.
3. What we collect
3.1 Account and identity

3.2 Health and fitness data (special category)
- Date of birth (and the age derived from it), gender, height
- Weight entries and weight history
- Physical activity level, fitness goal, sports you practise
- Dietary triggers, allergies and restrictions you record
- Workouts created, scheduled and completed, including per-set and per-exercise detail
- Diet plans, meals logged, portion sizes and nutrition totals
- Hydration entries
- Free-text activity descriptions you write for AI recognition
- Streaks, XP, progress records and achievements
We process this only on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). Withdrawing consent means deleting your account, because the app cannot function without this data.
3.3 Content you create
- Direct messages you send to other users. Message content is encrypted with AES before it is written to our database and to your device. This is encryption at rest, not end-to-end encryption: the key is managed by the app, so we retain the technical ability to decrypt messages, which we do only where required by law or to investigate abuse reported to us.
- Photos you upload: profile picture, workout banners, diet banners. These are stored in Firebase Storage.
- Meal photos you scan with the AI meal scanner. These are read from your device and sent to Google’s Vertex AI for analysis. They are not uploaded to our storage and we do not keep them — only the nutrition estimates you choose to save.
- AI Coach conversations, including the profile summary we attach so the coach can answer usefully.
- Ratings, reports and block lists.
3.4 Device, session and technical data
Collected automatically each time you sign in or use the app:
- Device model, operating system and version, and whether the device is physical or an emulator
- A device identifier used to distinguish your sessions
- IP address, and the approximate country and city derived from it via the third-party lookup service

You can view every active session and sign a device out remotely from Settings → Sessions.
3.5 Usage and analytics data
Through Google Analytics for Firebase: screens viewed, features used, AI features invoked, workouts started and completed, subscription and purchase events, and your user ID so events can be attributed to your account. Sign out and we stop attributing events to you.
3.6 Advertising data
If you are on a free plan, Google AdMob serves banner and rewarded ads and may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data. On iOS, Feeziq does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not request permission to track you across apps, so no cross-app tracking identifier is made available to advertisers through us. Ads are removed entirely on a paid subscription.
3.7 Purchase data
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play and managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your Feeziq user ID, purchase receipts, entitlement status, product and transaction identifiers, and device platform. We never receive or store your card number, bank details or billing address — those stay with Apple and Google.
3.8 What we do not collect
- Precise or background location
- Contacts, calendar, SMS or call logs
- HealthKit or Google Fit data
- Audio recordings. The microphone permission string that ships in the iOS app exists only because the system media picker declares it; Feeziq records no audio.
- Biometric identifiers, government IDs, or payment card data

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you using solely automated processing. AI-generated plans are suggestions, not decisions about your rights.
5. AI features in detail
Feeziq uses Google Vertex AI (Gemini models) through Firebase AI Logic for:
- Meal photo scanning — the photo you take or choose is sent to Gemini for nutritional estimation.
- Meal and activity description — the text you type is sent to Gemini.
- Workout and diet plan generation — your fitness profile (age, gender, height, weight, activity level, goal, sports, dietary restrictions) is sent to Gemini.
- AI Coach — your messages plus a summary of your fitness profile are sent to Gemini for each conversation.
What you should know:
- Google acts as our processor for these calls. Under the Google Cloud / Vertex AI terms that apply to Feeziq, your prompts and responses are not used to train Google’s models.
- AI output is an estimate. Calorie counts, macros and plans are approximations and are frequently wrong in detail.
- Do not type medical details, diagnoses, medication or anything else you would not want processed by a third-party AI service into free-text AI fields. Only send what the feature needs.
- AI conversations and generated plans you save are stored with your account and are deleted when you delete your account.
7. What other users can see
Feeziq is social. By design, other users can see:
- Your username, display name, profile photo and biography
- Your sports, XP, streak, achievements, follower and following counts
- Your position on public and monthly leaderboards
- Your presence indicator inside a chat you share with them
- Your messages, to the person you send them to
- Aggregated, non-identifying contributions to the community activity feed and global statistics
Other users cannot see your email address, date of birth, weight, meals, hydration, body metrics, sessions or device information.
You can block a user at any time, which stops messages in both directions.
8. Retention
- Account and health data: kept while your account exists.
- After account deletion: removed from live systems promptly, and purged from encrypted backups within 90 days.
- Messages: deleted with the account. A message you sent remains visible in the recipient’s copy of the conversation until they delete it.
- Session records: retained while the session is active; revoked sessions are deleted.
- Analytics: retained by Google Analytics for Firebase for a maximum of 14 months.
- Transaction and tax records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 7 years), independently of account deletion.
9. Security
- All traffic between the app and our backend uses TLS.
- Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; we never hold your plaintext password.
- Direct-message content is AES-encrypted before it is written to the database and to local storage; the encryption key is held in the platform keystore (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) rather than in app code.
- Requests are attested with Firebase App Check to reduce abuse of our backend from unauthorised clients.
- Access to production data is limited to the operator of Feeziq.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data and creates a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law (within 72 hours of becoming aware, under GDPR).
10. International transfers
Feeziq runs on Google Cloud and Firebase. Your data is processed on Google infrastructure that may be located in the United States and other countries outside your own. For transfers out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, incorporated into our agreements with Google and our other processors, together with the safeguards those providers apply.
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy
- Correct anything inaccurate — most profile and health fields are editable in the app
- Delete your account and data
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time, including consent to health-data processing
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
How to exercise them. Delete your account yourself at feeziq.com/delete-account (Settings → Account → Delete Account links you there), or email privacy@feeziq.com. We respond within 30 days, extendable by a further 60 days for complex requests, and we will tell you if we need more time. We may ask you to verify control of your account email before acting on a request.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties involved — all set out in Sections 3 and 6.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Feeziq does not request App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS. The health and fitness information you enter is sensitive personal information under the CPRA; we use it only to provide the service you asked for and for no secondary purpose that would trigger a right to limit its use.
If you are in the EEA or UK
You additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
12. Children
Feeziq is not intended for children under 16 in the EEA and UK, or under 13 elsewhere, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email privacy@feeziq.com and we will delete it. Where a higher local age of digital consent applies, that age applies to you.
13. Not medical advice
Feeziq is a fitness and wellness tool, not a medical device and not a healthcare provider. Its plans, calorie estimates and AI Coach responses are informational only and are not a diagnosis, treatment or professional advice. Talk to a qualified clinician before starting a new exercise or diet programme, particularly if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication.
14. Push notifications and email
You can turn off push notifications in your device settings or in Feeziq’s notification settings at any time. We will still send essential service emails — security alerts, account and billing notices — because these are part of operating your account.
15. Third-party links
The app links out to feeziq.com, our terms of use, app store pages and occasional external resources. Those destinations have their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
16. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as Feeziq changes. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes — a new category of data, a new purpose, a new class of recipient — we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent again.
